Prof. Dr. Nina Rohringer
Nina Rohringer recently joined DESY as a leading scientist and is a full-professor at the 1st Institute for Theoretical Physics of UHH. Her research interest is the study of ultrafast interaction of x-rays with matter, in particular the development of new nonlinear x-ray spectroscopic and imaging techniques at x-ray free electron lasers. In addition to her expertise in theoretical and numerical physics, she is also actively involved in experimental campaigns at national and international XFEL sources and is a pioneer in studying stimulated x-ray emission and scattering processes. N. Rohringer bridges the gap between theory, modeling of experiments and data analysis.
