Research

The CDCS conducts research in five different scientific domains with a strong focus on applying state-of-the-art data science methods like machine learning and deep learning to their specific data sets. The applied methods range from using generative models for calorimeter showers and radio galaxy images to using similar approaches as AlphaFold for protein-protein interactions to detecting anomalies with LSTMs in large data sets from a large number of sensors and controllers.
